Maybe a permission slip you didn’t know you needed

Even inside the 

“What ifs” and the “I wonders” and “ I wish I hadn’t”

The sun still cracks between the clouds in the afternoon while your driving and Time after Time will play on the radio making you wind down your window and sing it loudly feeling that warm pull in your heart remembering how incredible your friends are and have been all these years 

Enjoy it 

Even when you aren’t sure where to go next or if that situation will go as you’d hoped 

The cat will still come and curl up at your feet while you read your favourite book and enjoy your hot coffee

Enjoy it 

Even when you wish you hadn’t chosen something and know now it’s going to be that much harder to get back on track 

The clean sheets will still be crisp and fresh as you lay down in bed at night and sink into that safe place

I guess what I’m trying to say is 

All of the goodness will still be there even when you doubt, even when you wonder, even when you think you’ve gone the wrong way 

No need to miss it 

No need to not allow yourself that joy 

Take it all, enjoy it all, don’t forget to notice.
