The List

Fill up the ice cube trays and the water filter too

Wipe the benches down with eucalyptus and light some incense

Eat I know you don’t want to

But just trust me on that

Take a shower

Cry if you need to

Put on clean pyjamas and get into bed

Make a running gratitude list of the small things that you know are in fact the big things

Remind yourself that the mistakes you made, any hurt you felt, any challenge faced

It’s all apart of the humanness

But it’s ok to feel shitty right now

And when you close your eyes

Remind yourself you are safe

Hug your body tight

And know that this will pass

(A list to rely on, on difficult days)
